Building the Backbone: Archirodon Property Plant and Equipment – Investment System a PPE Investment System for Archirodon Ltd
A project our team delivered, a commission from the global construction giant, Archirodon Ltd. As a backend developer working alongside my talented colleagues in the EDP (Electronic Data Processing) Department, I had a front-row seat to building a powerful tool from the ground up: a comprehensive Property, Plant, and Equipment (PPE) Investment System.
This wasn’t just another software project. For a company like Archirodon, with massive, high-value assets operating across the globe—think cranes, vessels, and heavy machinery—managing this equipment is a monumental task. Our mission was to bring simplicity, accuracy, and powerful insights to this complex process.
The Challenge: Taming the Asset Beast
Before our system, managing the lifecycle of every piece of equipment involved immense manual effort, disparate spreadsheets, and a high risk of error. Key information about asset value, depreciation, maintenance schedules, and current location was siloed. Answering a simple question like, “What is the current book value of all our excavators in the Gulf region?” could be a time-consuming ordeal.
Our team was tasked with creating a single source of truth—a robust, centralized system to manage every asset from the moment it’s purchased to the day it’s retired.
My Role: Engineering the Engine Room
As a backend developer, my focus was on building the core logic and infrastructure that makes the entire system run. While the frontend team designed the user-friendly interface, my world was in the “engine room,” ensuring the system was powerful, secure, and reliable.

No project of this scale is a solo effort. This was a true collaboration between our entire EDP Department and the key stakeholders at Archirodon. The frontend developers translated our powerful backend into an intuitive experience, our project managers kept us on track, and the continuous feedback from the Archirodon team ensured we were building a solution that truly met their needs.
The result is a dynamic PPE Investment System that gives Archirodon a real-time, 360-degree view of their assets. It’s a tool that not only safeguards their investments but also provides the data-driven insights needed for smarter strategic planning.
